ConcernedApe is a busy developer. Largely spending these days plugging away at Haunted Chocolatier, he apparently also took the time recently to stop by Wizards of The Coast headquarters to help them design three Magic: The Gathering Secret Lair drops for Stardew Valley.
The limited-edition, limited-quantity cards bring the cozy, pixelated vibes of Pelican Town and its surrounding environs to Magic the Gathering, making for some interesting but fitting combinations. Swords To Plowshares and Crop Rotation, for example, are perfect cards to include in a Secret Lair drop for a game that’s all about farming. If getting to know your neighbors is more your thing, there’s a Community Center card that’s a remixed version of M:TG‘s Fountainport land card.
There are three different sets of Stardew Valley x Secret Lair cards, each featuring either remixed versions of existing Magic: The Gathering cards or existing cards treated with artwork from the game. There’s also a new card created exclusively for the set, aptly named Stardew Valley, and a special promo card, Lucky Purple Memento. Here’s the breakdown of each set from Wizards of the Coast.
